History & origins
In 1980, Josef Loder and two friends founded delta Geländesport und Zubehör Handels-GmbH in Schondorf am Ammersee — one of the first companies in Europe dedicated entirely to off-road.
In 1982, Josef Loder lined up at the start of the Paris–Dakar Rally. That experience still shapes wheels, suspension, vehicles and the brand mindset: engineering that holds up under extreme conditions.
delta4x4 and LoderTire share the same DNA: own products, four workshops in Bavaria, prototype build for vehicle manufacturers, and an in-house media team. Motorsport is our development platform — what delta4x4 builds and sells has to prove itself under load.
