The new 16-inch forged wheel redefines resilience: with a load capacity of 1,500 kg, the “delta Race” will undergo the world’s toughest practical test at the 2026 Dakar Rally.

With the introduction of the new “delta Race”, off-road specialist delta4x4 is expanding its portfolio with a forged high-performance wheel that has been specially developed for international rallying and heavy expedition vehicles.

Availability for professionals and enthusiasts

Although designed for racing, delta4x4 is also targeting ambitious off-road travellers who push their vehicles (e.g. heavy pickups or transporter-based motorhomes) to their limits with this product. The “delta Race” will be officially available from 2026. Prices start at €840 per rim.

Maximum stability meets lightweight construction

The manufacturing process is at the heart of the new rim. Unlike conventional cast rims, the Delta Race is manufactured using a complex forging process. This compacts the material structure so much that extremely thin wall thicknesses are possible while maintaining enormous strength.

The result is an extraordinary combination: reduced weight, which lowers the unsprung mass and thus relieves the suspension, paired with a massive wheel load rating of 1,500 kg. This makes the “delta Race” one of the most resilient 16-inch wheels in its class and predestined for heavy rally raid vehicles.

Baptism of fire in the dunes: Dakar Rally 2026

Theory is good, practice is better. delta4x4 is putting its new development directly to the ultimate endurance test. The “delta Race” will celebrate its official premiere at the 2026 Dakar Rally.
