With the new Ford Ranger, delta4x4 continues the “The Beast” series.
The completely new Ranger 2016 is more than a facelift of the previous model: With off-road stability control, optional off-road package, hill start assistant and hill descent aid as well as a fording depth of 80 centimeters, it is already a top quality off-roader in the standard trim. Optimizing it even further was a challenge for delta4x4, which required innovative solutions.
The Ranger is raised by 150 mm from delta4x4 by combining a BodyLiftKit of ten centimeters and a set of springs that brings another 50 mm in height. These coordinated components not only result in increased ground clearance, but also enable the “Beast” to have a larger axle articulation and thus ensure significantly more off-road power.
Another two centimeters of ground clearance is created by installing the new 20-inch rims from delta4x4, on which Toyo tires in size 325/50 R 22 are mounted. The driver has to show a little sportiness when getting in. “Wide Body” flared fenders and a front bar that complies with the EU directives on pedestrian protection round off the conversion of the Ford Ranger into a delta-Beast.
The complete raising of the vehicle including assembly, painting and technical acceptance costs – depending on the choice of wheels – from 10,000 euros. A homologation of the conversion – and thus a road approval of the ranger “Beast” – is possible in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Scandinavian countries. For all other countries a consultation with delta4x4 is necessary. With the Ranger 2016, the off-road tuner in the Bavarian south is also offering a LED headlight series newly homologated by PIAA for the first time. Thanks to their yellow color, the lights convey an eye-friendly light impression and ensure better visibility in fog. Thanks to their reflector technology, they also impress with their excellent illumination of the area.
The body lift kit with 100 mm costs 1,700 euros for delta4x4, the additional lift by 50 mm with new springs 1,800 euros and the 22-inch wheel set costs around 3,900 euros. The price for the “Wide Body” fender flares is 1,700 euros, the front bar can be bought for 590 euros and the LED light bars with yellow light from PIAA are available from delta4x4 from 490 euros.
