Months of preparations, two very hard weeks in bucket seats of a 40 year old PUCH, extreme heat & dust, 8000km through the desert of Saudi Arabia!
And in the end, the finish line was in Yanbu (Red Sea).

This blog post is dedicated to our secret star, the KLASSIK alloy wheel!
The Klassik rim from delta4x4 is often overshadowed by its brother, the Klassik_B. Wrongly, because with its use in the 2024 Dakar Classic, the alloy wheel has proven its extreme taker qualities. 8000km of hard rally use and no trace of “paint off”. Everything is running smoothly!
Ok, admittedly, everything rarely runs smoothly on such a rally. That’s where it really gets down to business. Man and machine are put under extreme strain. We are all the more pleased that the “Classic” has mastered the “Klassik” so confidently. We never doubted it!
Our Dakar Classic rim does not differ from a 17 inch standard alloy rim, except for the white paintwork. The white was chosen by Josef Loder’s Puch for nostalgic reasons to participate in the Dakar in 1985.
Our thanks go to the whole team VÖLKEL Trading Solutions, to our engineers and mechanics who built up our Puch with Formula 1 experience, to the delta4x4 founder Josef Loder for the inspiration and the passing on of the many experiences, to driver and co-driver Maximilian and Laurence Loder, to the DAKAR organizer, to the people of Saudi Arabia and everyone in the background who supported and made this project possible!
