VW T5 Multivan
No vehicle in automobile history covers the whole range of social classes, political attitudes, philosophies of life and the various professional groups as comprehensively as the so-called Bulli from Volkswagen for 60 years. The enthusiasts range from the flower power hippies of the 70s and 80s to the Russian oligarchs who let themselves be chauffeured in armored luxury vans, and from craftsmen who use the vehicle as a reliable workshop vehicle and use it to organize their family outing at the weekend, to the supervisory boards of DAX companies who use the Bulli as a mobile conference room.
The English VW van outfitter Vanworx, who has made a name for itself in its British homeland with exclusive equipment for the van, was inspired by the Amarok modified by delta4x4. He talked to his colleagues from Bavaria about how you could give a good all-wheel-drive van a touch of off-road feeling.
Said and done! The guys from delta4x4 first raised the van by 35 mm and gave it tires in size 245 / 65R17 with robust and rally-tested WP aluminum rims in 8×17. The whole action makes the vehicle about 6 cm higher. For the chassis kit there were coordinated shock absorbers from Bilstein, a front bar, according to the personal protection guidelines of the EC, as well as a sports exhaust system, which gives the vehicle a more sonorous sound and simplifies the passage of the vehicle.
The lift kit with the coordinated Bilstein shock absorbers for the front and rear axles is now available to everyone and costs 1,490 euros. The exhaust system is available for 890 euros. The complete set of wheels (4 wheels delta4x4-WP in 17 inches with tires of size 245 / 65R17 from the American off-road expert BF Goodrich) is available for 1,690 euros. The front bar with Europe-wide road approval costs 580 euros. There are also the high-intensity wide-beam lights from Japanese rally specialist PIAA for 430 euros.
