delta4x4 Explorer Tour 2023: An Adventure Through Bosnia and Herzegovina
The beating heart of Zagreb was the perfect starting point for our off-road adventure. As the warm sun settled over the city, off-road enthusiasts and adventurers met in the bar of the legendary Grand Hotel. A “welcome drink” in hand, first conversations and getting to know each other in a relaxed way already gave an idea of how special the coming days would be.
On Thursday morning, our journey continued seamlessly. The border crossing into Bosnia went smoothly, and we soon found ourselves in the middle of the picturesque Bosnian countryside.
It was a feast for the senses: wide fields, green hills. Cows, goats, sheep and wild horses proudly presented their homeland.
Our destination was a modern hotel at the foot of the historic Olympic ski slope. The next off-road challenge awaited us, and it was impressive to see how the skill of the riders grew with every kilometer driven. The slopes demanded skill and sensitivity, but the challenges were mastered with flying colors.
But the real thrill was yet to come: the ascent in the morning along the old downhill route. However, a challenging track that put drivers and vehicles to the test rewarded us with an impressive view.
Mostar with its impressive Old Bridge was the final highlight of our tour. Here, where history meets the present, we ended the evening at a winery, carried by the melody of inspiring conversations and new friendships.
Sarajevo, with its mix of history and warmth, was the next highlight. A traditional Bosnian dinner immersed us in the culinary world of the country. Entrecote, fish platters and regional cheese specialties were on the menu, and during the meal there were in-depth conversations and lively discussions.
The journey through the breathtaking mountain villages to Mostar the next day was marked by unexpected moments of pause – such as drinking coffee together in a remote mountain village. In the silence and tranquility of this place, far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, we enjoyed the simplicity of life.
In order to reach the stage destinations, it was sometimes necessary to drive into the night. Even if it was not easy for man and machine, the light and the intoxicating landscape were a benevolent compensation for everyone.
As Sunday dawned and the 2023 delta4x4 Explorer Tour drew to a close, everyone looked back and ahead with gratitude and anticipation. Because one thing was certain: The delta4x4 Explorer Tour 2024 is already in the starting blocks. A new year, a new adventure. And we at delta4x4 are happy to accompany you again. Be part of it!
