“Size matters.” The wild X-Class.
“Size matters.” Or a question of size. The Petronas Safety Car from delta.
delta4x4 and the wild X-Class at the Tuning World on Lake Constance
The best of three worlds is combined in the work of delta4x4 on the newcomer pick-up from Mercedes-Benz, the X-Class. One could also say: Stuttgart thoroughness meets Upper Bavarian thirst for adventure, mixed with a few Formula 1 genes and Petronas Formula 1 power.
If you are completely honest, size does matter, ladies and gentlemen.
Therefore, the vehicle should be raised 25 cm and widened by around 12 cm when converting the delta4x4. The lift kit consists of a body lift kit of 100 mm and a spring kit with Bilstein shock absorbers of approx. 40 mm. The rest of up to 100 mm is achieved by the extremely grippy off-road tires with sidebiter profile from Yokohama. There is a front bar and steps made of the finest stainless steel for a suitably wild look.
However, we all know that size alone is nothing without sophisticated technology: That is why delta also provides a power optimization of approx. 30 KW. A gallery of the best high-performance LED headlights and light bars completes the conversion and lets the X-Class shine in the right light even in the darkest canyon.
The entire delta4x4 project is supported by the Malaysian fuel company Petronas, which also oversees the motorsport activities of the Daimler-Benz Formula 1 team. All pick-up fans can now see a first impression of the finished vehicle at the Yokohama stand at the Tuning World in Friedrichshafen. This is the first time this unbridled beast is presented to the world.
The body lift kit by 100 mm costs around 2,000 euros for the delta4x4, while the 20-inch wheel set, including Yokohama tires, costs around 4,500 euros. The price for the fender flares is 1,800 euros, the front bracket (approved for EU roads) including the LED wide emitters from PIAA are available for 1,100 euros.
