With a V6 diesel engine of up to 224 hp under the hood, the new Amarok now rolls noticeably more powerfully on the streets – the off-road vehicle specialist delta4x4 has now also significantly refined the off-road characteristics of the new edition of the VW pickup.
In addition, the Odelzhausen-based tuner provides the previous BodyLiftKit of five centimeters with a ten-centimeter version for the Amarok. This lifts the body of the bestseller pickup by one decimeter, while the larger 305/60 R 18 wheels add an additional three centimeters in height. The STT Pro all-terrain tires come from the American off-road tire specialist Cooper Tires and are designed for predominantly off-road use, so that the Amarok in the delta4x4 trim can show its strengths both on the road and off-road. The US rubbers are mounted on “KlassikB” rims, which with their eight-hole design are the most striking aluminum rims for pickups in the Bavarian off-road vehicle tuner’s range. They also have replaceable collision protection, which prevents damage to the rim when using off-road or when coming into contact with curbs.
The “WideBody” fender flares from delta4x4 create the space required for the large wheels in the wheel arches.
The electric cable winch, on the other hand, is mounted inconspicuously behind the front bumper, which thanks to this type of installation complies with the legal requirements for pedestrian protection. With its four tons of pulling power, the Horn-Winch is able to rescue the Amarok – or other vehicles – from even the most difficult of situations.
The body lift kit by 100mm costs 1,700 euros for the delta4x4, the 18-inch wheel set costs around 3,300 euros, depending on the tire. The price for the fender flares is 1,500 euros and the horn winch with four tons of pulling force is available from delta4x4 including installation kit for 2,800 euros.
Despite the lift, the Amarok remains tightly on track.
The additional widenings (fender flares) make the V6 even wider.
The rims are “delta” rims, the model is called Klassik_B.
