The finest technology in the manufacture of rims is one-piece forging, as it gives the wheels maximum strength with minimal weight. No other rim construction offers this combination, which is so important for automotive technology – neither multi-part aluminum wheels or aluminum rims that are manufactured using the ironing process, nor wheels made of highly tempered steel. Accordingly, delta4x4 has been relying on forging technology in the manufacture of its high-quality aluminum rims for two decades.

With the new, forged “Legacy Forged”, the southern German wheel specialists are now presenting another highlight in rim technology. Thanks to its high strength, this aluminum rim has a load capacity of up to 1,850 kilograms with a weight of only 9.9 kilograms – which has serious advantages in terms of smoothness, energy consumption and driving safety.
After all, the rims are part of the unsprung mass on the vehicle, so that the lower weight of forged rims (up to 50 percent lighter than conventionally cast aluminum rims in the same format) leads to fuel savings, while the complex finishing on CNC systems ensures perfect concentricity for forged rims guaranteed.
