Udo Jürgens’ hit hit “At 66 years …” stormed to the top of the charts in the late seventies and into the hearts of young and old. The VW Bulli has also been rolling on our streets for 66 years, has established itself as a bestseller and has a loyal fan base across all walks of life worldwide.

“At 66 years of age, you only get in shape”, delta4x4, the accessories specialist for off-road vehicles, is now implementing this line of songs in the sixth generation of the Bulli – and has put together an extensive accessory package in time for its 66th birthday in March, including a lift kit by a full five centimeters.
In order to achieve this, delta4x4 has given the T6 a lift kit with specially matched Bilstein shock absorbers on the front and rear axles, which raise the body by 25 mm. The remaining 2.5 centimeters of ground clearance is achieved by mounting off-road all-terrain tires from BF Goodrich or Cooper in the format 245/65 R 17 on robust and rally-tested 8 x 17-inch WP aluminum rims. A front bar, which complies with the EC personal protection guidelines, further enhances the look and at the same time serves as a holder for the powerful additional headlights from the Japanese rally specialist PIAA. Finally, a sports exhaust system ensures an adequately sonorous sound and optimizes the passage of the Bulli.
Since 66 years of age is far from over, delta4x4 has not only developed the “OffRoad” version for the VW T6, but also wheel conversions to 20- and 22-inch. Rims of the “Lander” model from the delta off-road vehicle range are used, which are designed for high wheel loads and can also be installed without raising the vehicle. An additional off-road version based on the “KlassikB” rim is already in preparation. Because, to say it with Udo Jürgens: “At 66 years old, you have fun with it …”
All conversions are available for all model and engine versions of the VW T6 – including 4motion. The lift kit including Bilstein shock absorbers for the front and rear axles costs 1,490 euros.
The complete wheel set, consisting of four 17-inch rims of the type delta4x4-WP with BF Goodrich tires in the format 245/65 R 17, is available for 1,690 euros. With a few modifications, you can also mount the 255 / 60R18 tires with KlassikB wheels in a robust off-road design (set with Toyo Open Country AllTerrain tires 2.490). The 20-inch variant, which can also be installed without a lift kit, is available from 2,290 euros, the 22-inch variant from 3,250 euros. The front bar, which is road legal across Europe and has been tested according to pedestrian protection criteria, is available from 340 euros.
