delta turns the new Mitsubishi L200 into a “beast”
“Beastiger” is hardly possible: thanks to the conversion of delta 4×4, the new pickup from Mitsubishi measures up to 2.25 meters in height and then has a ground clearance of 310 millimeters. Regardless of whether it is Baja California or the Rubicon Trail – beyond the “big pond”, monster trucks are the epitome of off-road vehicles. But in their civilian form, as they roll on our roads as standard, they have a problem: Despite their sophisticated terrain technology, they quickly reach their limits in difficult terrain with their lush length and moderate ground clearance.
The off-road vehicle specialist delta 4×4 has now consistently tackled this problem and has converted the brave workhorse Mitsubishi L200 into the spectacular “delta beast”: The result is a two and a quarter meter high monster truck, which with its incredible ground clearance of over thirty centimeters and a slope angle of 36 at the front and 31 degrees at the back (instead of 30 degrees at the front and 25 degrees at the back in the standard version), simply roll over any obstacle.
For the mutation from a pickup to a big foot, delta 4×4 raises the body of the new Mitsubishi L200 by exactly ten centimeters with the help of a body lift kit and gives the chassis an additional 40 millimeter height. Despite these gigantic modifications, the “delta Beast” remains suitable for everyday use – it only takes a little sportiness to board the giant’s cockpit.
The 100 mm lift kit is available at delta 4×4 for 2068 €, including assembly the price is 5000 €. Street-legal front and load compartment bars made of stainless steel are available from delta 4×4 for € 570 and € 590, respectively, the wheel arch extensions cost € 1,800, and the side bars are € 680.
A complete “delta beast” is available from 45,000 € for delta 4×4, depending on the basic equipment.
